Notes on Nebula Discus

NEBULA F2

At size 2" to 3.5" - There are red, blue, gold and white colors.
At this stage, they are really attractive, with beautiful red on dorsal and anal fins.

But beginning from 4", the red starts to fade and metallic blue faded.
The photo above (titled Nebula) is F2 at size 3"

Nebula Gold, Red and White - Nebula F3

Using Nebula F2, crossed with other strains. We expect to improve red, gold and white . They have what their parents have and more.

In one crossing, as a result, we have more red in dorsal fin and anal fin.
All babies have red eyes. This is seldom happens in ghost strain.
They look quite encouraging. The center of the body starts to have more white. Will have to wait to see the outcome when they are in 5" size.

Good to buy if you are a breeder. By crossing will get unexpected versions or strains. Babies are either 100% ghost or 100% of the other strain used to cross.

Breeding tools for strain development

A carpenter uses

  1. A hammer is to nail;
  2. A saw is to cut;
  3. A spade is to dig

To improve certain characteristics on discus strains, Nebula discus has several usage when cross breeding.

Nebula Red:

To enhance or to improve red in your red strains.
We have improved Red White.
It has no more black dust along the fins.
The body is clean without peppering.
It is a better one than crossing with the Marlboro.

Nebula Gold:

To enhance or to improve gold in gold or other strains.
We have improved Golden.
It has no more lining or stripes on the head.
It is clean on both dorsal and anal fin.

Nebula White:

It is a brush to help to clean.
It cleans the dust.
It erases the bar across the eyes.

Any strains crossing with Nebula F3 will have a good body shape. (Round)
